Dinosaurs Alive

Sunday 9th January, 2010

Today we went to the Showgrounds to see the exhibition of Dinosaurs Alive.  These dinosaurs are mechanical, but so life like, even one of them made me jump and move back when it roared.

After walking throught the exhibition there was an activity area where the kids could play in sand boxes looking for 'dinosaur bones', stamping and pencilling over images of dinosaurs.

After Katie had finished her activities we sat outside and had icecream.  Then it was time to head down to Glenelg.  This was where we were going to drop Katie off.

When we got there it was quite warm and as she wanted to go onto the playground I thought maybe the equipment would be a bit hot.  Instead we went off to the Beachhouse.  Here, she and Tony got onto the water boats and had a great time soaking each other.  At least they were nice and cool.

There wasn't much time for anything else as we had to meet up with her mum, so we headed back to the playground.  They were already there waiting for us.  Said our goodbyes and Tony and I decided to get some fish and chips take away from the Buffalo restaurant.  We weren't impressed with the fish, to me it had a very fishy taste.
