Starlight, Starbright what colour is the moon tonight? Red
Tonight was the eclipse of the moon and with clear skies we got a great view of the lunar eclipse and the red moon. Wow! the moon looked gorgeous.
This was a much better viewing than back in April when the last eclipse of the moon was held.....we could hardly see any colour change then.
These photos were taken from our front garden. Tony put the cameras on the tripod and managed to eliminate most of the street lighting so as to get a better view. I think he did a great job.
I'm catching up on your blog posts and I'm jealous!! What absolutely beautiful photos of the moon!! We had no view here in New England, just heavy cloud cover. My daughter in Virginia only got a glimpse of a red edge before it disappeared. Your view was just spectacular. Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI just love the photo of the kangaroos in your last post. I think it is so sad that we have taken over so much of our wildlife's homes. Your Katie is lovely. You are so fortunate that she still enjoys spending time with you. So many of the youth today are too busy to spend much time with grand parents.
