What a touching moment this was. I am not a Catholic but I found this heart warming. During one of the Pope's sermons to thousands of people a young boy wanders on stage. He sits on the Papal chair, then he goes over and hugs the Pope. The Pope gives him a pat on the head.
This young boy was an orphan but had been adopted by an Italian family. When he went on stage the other cardinals tried to entice him away apparently with lollies but he was having none of it.
It goes to show that this Pope is so different to the other Popes of the past. He seems to be more of a people's Pope, no stuffy shirt here. In His day Jesus would have done the same thing.
What a super post! I agree that this Pope handled it the right way. Children are innocent and have a right to remain that way. I wonder if he'll remember all of this when he grows up and realizes how close he was to the Pope? What a great memory for him. You have a fabulous day, hugs, Edna B.
