Say Goodbye To Our Old TV

Sunday 2nd January, 2011

The day after New Year's Day seemed to be a little bit more 'normal'.  With all these Public Holidays and Tony being on holidays sometimes it's hard to remember what day is what.  But I do know he only has one more day off and then he's back to work.

With the digital age in TV we have had our old TV sitting in the garage for the last 20 months.  To dump it you have to pay, to have it removed you have to pay.  When we were at Robyn and Bob's a few weeks ago they were telling us about a local guy that comes and picks up your old TV's for nothing.  Apparently he takes the gold out of them.

It was time for us to get rid of ours plus the old one we had in the spare bedroom.  It has been cluttering up the garage for so long and we want to have a clean out of the garage so I made a phone call to Robyn and she said to bring it up.

Tony got them both into the car and off we went.  Bob made a phone call and the guy said he would be around later on in the evening to collect them.

Robyn had made some cherry muffins earlier on in the day and so we had coffee and muffins.  They were so YUM!!!
She gave me the recipe so I am going to have a go and make them as well.

While there we all decided to go out for dinner....again.  Bob had told us that the steaks at the Virginia Hotel were to die for so we headed up there.  He was true to his word and they were sooooo tender.  The salads were delicious too but even more delicious was the Lemon Curd Tart.  It was so yummy I even had a second serving with coffee.

Yeah, I waddled out of there after eating too much.  Definitely going back there again!
