Another Productive Day

Saturday 6th November, 2010

Today was a real beautiful spring day.  I got out and did more in the garden while Tony cleaned out the fish pond.   The pond was so dirty (had a lot of algae) and we lost 2 fish.   One had jumped out and was found behind the pond while the other one had been eaten by the remaining goldfish.  Also most of the snails were gone.  We find these do a great job in keeping the algae down.

This evening is rather mild and a walk down at the beach sounds good.  Over the last few weeks sharks have been caught at Henley Beach, the last one being a 3 metre bronze whaler on Friday.  Don't think I will be dipping my toes.

We didn't walk 'cos some rain is starting to fall.  Don't know how much we'll get so the walk will have to be for another day.  Can't wait until we get warmer days consistently so we can go walk along the beach.  I never used to like the beach because of the sand, still don't actually, would rather have grass right to the water's edge, but I do like walking, especially on a hot night with the waves lapping around your feet.

From the Lens..........even though we are about 25 kilometres (as the crow flies) from the sea we can still see it from our backyard
